This May two of our partners from the Property Department attended a conference in Stockholm as part of The United Legal Network (ULN). The ULN is an association of Commercial Lawyers created in 1999. It was set up for the purpose of enhancing its members’ abilities to provide their clients with a practical and professional service capable of responding to the demands of international commerce and cross-border transactions.
The ULN get together every 6 months to discuss the local matters of legal interest and the strategy of the ULN as well as how to improve services across Europe for clients.
Much like the Eurovision Song Contest, the venue of the conference alternates between members’ home countries and this conference fell in Sweden and gave the Swedish a turn to host. The key speaker at this conference was Henrick Ninsson who gave an interesting talk on doing business in Sweden.
Fortunately, the trip was not all business and no play. Our representatives had some down time to explore the beautiful city, their highlights being; the Vasa Museum, the ABBA Museum and a guided tour of the old town.
The next meeting is scheduled to be held in Jerusalem.
