Yazmine graduated from CILEx Law School completing her Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice in 2020, becoming an Associate of CILEx. She completed her Level 6 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice in August 2023, obtaining fellowship and qualification as a Legal Executive following a period of qualifying employment in November 2024.

Yazmine previously worked at a regional defendant healthcare firm for 9 years, becoming a Paralegal in May 2019 and a Senior Paralegal in October 2021, where she provided advice and support to local NHS Trusts as well as advising in a broad range of Defendant clinical negligence claims for a leading Medical Defence Organisation. She also assisted with Claimant clinical negligence claims.

Yazmine joined Gordons in February 2022 as a Paralegal and works within the Healthcare Department.

Expertise:

Her expertise is in defending clinical negligence claims brought against healthcare professionals. Yazmine deals with claims brought in both the High Court and County Court. She acts in a range of clinical negligence claims including cauda equina, delay in diagnosis of cancer and catastrophic brain injuries. She also has experience in dealing with claims brought against healthcare professionals by Litigants in Person.

Yazmine also has experience in assisting NHS Trusts with initial clinical negligence complaints received and inquests having previously undertaken a secondment for a local NHS Trust.

  • Securing discontinuance of a claim brought against a GP in relation to delay in diagnosis of a DVT.
  • Obtaining strike out of a claim against a GP Practice by a Litigant in Person in relation to the Claimant's medical records.
  • Securing discontinuance of a claim brought against a GP Practice in relation to medication prescribing.
  • Obtaining dismissal of a Litigant in Person's Appeal in relation to disability discrimination.
