Lucy did a History and Society degree at the University of Exeter before converting to Law and undertaking her LPC. She worked in law firms in Oxford and London as a Paralegal before moving to Guildford and joining Gordons’ Healthcare Department in February 2019. She qualified as a solicitor in September 2021.

Lucy is a regulatory lawyer acting for health and social care providers within the firm’s Health and Social Care Department. Clients include care homes for adults, domiciliary care agencies, children’s homes, nurseries, childminders, Pre-schools and independent hospitals.

She has considerable experience of representing providers when regulatory action is taken against them by Ofsted or the Care Quality Commision. For example, attending appeals before the First-Tier Tribunal, dealing with cancellations of registration and warning notices, as well as assisting with the handling of safeguarding investigations. Lucy is also experienced at assisting providers when responding to draft inspection reports.
