Expertise:

Laura has a particular interest in alternative dispute resolution and in encouraging clients to explore out of court routes to resolving their disputes. Laura makes it a priority to quickly build up a good working relationship with other solicitors wherever possible. She believes that it is generally in the best interests of the family to work in a collaborative and cooperative manner, and that this maximises the chances of the parties reaching a swift and amicable agreement and maintaining a good co-parenting relationship post divorce. However, should this not be possible Laura is experienced in representing clients through contentious litigation.

Laura is experienced in advising and representing clients as to disputes relation to their children, including child arrangements following separation, relocation disputes, fact-finding hearings and disputed changes of name. Laura has extensive experience in dealing with Cafcass, Social Services, single-joint experts and specialist London counsel. She is sensitive to the difficulties faced by clients and is known for providing comprehensive and ongoing support whilst giving clear and robust advice.

Laura advises clients as to divorce, pre and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and disputed finances following divorce or separation. She has assisted the partners in the department on complex cases involving high net worth and complicated asset structures. Laura regularly also supports her own clients through financial disputes both in and out of court.
