Julian is an experienced lawyer advising businesses on a broad range of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, disposals and management buy-outs and buy-ins. He founded Cheyney Goulding in 1995 following over 20 years in practice with law firms in London and the South East. He was also an external lecturer at the University of Surrey.

He seeks to understand the particular issues within the corporate framework and to find commercial answers to legal issues.

Julian has extensive corporate transactional experience regularly dealing with acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs and buy-ins, joint ventures, start-ups, formation and corporate constitution, refinancing and restructuring and shareholder relations.

He advises a wide variety of clients from high net-worth individuals to SMEs and large corporates. His areas of expertise are in family businesses both corporate and commercial.

Julian joined Gordons as a Consultant in our London office in January 2024.
