Suzie McCluney joined Gordons Partnership in 2019 as a Consultant in the Healthcare Department in our Guildford Office. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor in 1996, Suzie worked as a pharmacist in both NHS and Private Hospital settings. Suzie has specialised in medical defence litigation for over 20 years, acting for both NHS Resolution and medical malpractice insurers. She has extensive experience in all areas of clinical negligence, providing pragmatic and commercially sensible advice, running cases to trial when necessary.

Joshua Morrison has just been promoted to the position of Associate at Gordons Partnership.  He joined Gordons in March 2014 and our Healthcare department in January 2015.

Joshua works as part of the Regulatory team. He assists healthcare professionals either directly or on the instructions of a leading Medical Defence Organisation in investigations by their regulatory bodies, primarily the General Medical Council and General Dental Council. He has assisted doctors through extensive investigations appearing at Interim Orders Tribunals and substantive MPTS/GDC hearings. He usually conducts his own advocacy at Interim Tribunal hearings.

Joshua also assists doctors either called to give evidence at inquests or named as Properly Interested Persons.  He continues to advise doctors through criminal investigations. He also assists healthcare professionals who face non-clinical offences and is able to double up on his advice to cover possible regulatory action as a result of criminal investigations/charges.
